Reynaldo Dagsa was a member of the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team and a Filipino politician renowned for fearlessly taunting violent gangsters. His fate was frozen in time by a photograph taken on New Year’s Day, 2011. As his family happily posed for the photo, the camera lens captured the chilling split second when Arnel Buenaflor put his finger on the trigger and fired, ending Dagsa’s life.
In an ironic twist, the very flash that illuminated the scene also illuminated Buenaflor’s guilt. He was arrested the following month for the murder, along with his two accomplices.
A 20-year-old man named Maqsood, snuck past three layers of security barriers to get a closer look at his favorite animal at the exhibit at New Delhi Zoo. Unfortunately, he lost his footing and plunged a daunting 18 feet into the moat below and lost the fight against the tiger housed in the enclosure.
